Edutech and Untact Education

KIPS Transactions on Software and Data Engineering

Description and Scope

Edutech is a compound word of education and technology, and is an educational paradigm in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. In other words, it means next-generation education using information and communication technology (ICT) such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), robots, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR) in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Due to the recent spread of COVID-19, the first 'online school opening' took place in April 2020. Online lectures align with e-Learning, but as the demand for untact education surges with COVID-19, edutech technology is considered one of the areas of interest.
As a result, major countries in the world are actively pursuing legislation to grow edutech. In particular, the AI system is being introduced mainly in the United States and Europe, and the education system is also being improved to strengthen digital capabilities to cultivate the 4th Industrial Revolution. Korea is also actively developing such non-face-to-face industries through the digital new deal policy and establishing an edutech integrated platform.
Therefore, in this special issue of planning, research papers, and educational industry policy papers, such as technologies used in edutech and technologies related to untact education are recruited.
